The three designs Dresden, Ocean, and Brutalism in the collection Hermann are all designed by my friend and Berlin-based industrial designer Hermann August Weizenegger. Our collection Hermann has a very clear and modern contemporary approach. Design Brutalism is produced in Jaipur, Rajasthan as Persian weave in a nice blend of wool and silk in 9/9 knot count. A bold overall pattern as a quote of concrete and modernism in architecture. The surface comes in a beautiful velvet sandblasted execution or in a high/low texture, where we clip down particular wool fields to create a topography of material and texture. Designs Dresden and Ocean are both produced in Kathmandu, Nepal as Tibetan weave. Finest 150 knot quality
in silk and wool or 100% silk. The design quotes with the crossed dragonfly wings the period of Art Deco, a perfect all-over pattern in a two-tone color execution with a hint of a frame. The topographic lines and delicate color graduations in the design Ocean create an abstract landscape in the interior. Phenomenal is the use of colors in all of his designs, hands down to my dear friend Hermann. All designs of our contemporary rug art collection are customizable on request.
