In 2016, the visionary collaboration between Claudia Skoda, the renowned knitwear designer from Berlin, and Jürgen Dahlmanns, the founder of Rug Star, gave birth to a remarkable venture into the realm of home textiles. Their inaugural creation was what they aptly termed “a playlist” of 120 pillows, marking the genesis of a truly unique collection.
These 120 pillow designs, each a veritable work of art, were meticulously handcrafted in their hometown of Berlin. At the skilled hands of Claudia Skoda, these pillows transcended the realm of mere decor to become genuine knitwear collectibles. The pillows are a tangible manifestation of Claudia’s lifelong dedication to experimenting with yarn and pioneering innovative knitting techniques.
Among the patterns in this extraordinary collection, names like KAVIAR, SPA, MAMA WHALE, THIS WAY, EXIT to a bright sunlight, DRESS WELL, and SATELLITE CITY stand out, each exuding a sense of lightness, sunny disposition, and good humor. They were conceived with the intent to infuse your living spaces with an immediate uplift in ambiance, bringing a breath of fresh modernity to any interior setting. The vibrancy of their colors represents a meeting point where the creative processes of both designers converge.
“SEE ME, FEEL ME, LOVE ME” was the mantra that Claudia and I declared for this collection back in December 2016. Now, seven years later, only a limited number of these exquisite pillows remain. We are thrilled to share their beauty with you. Behold and appreciate the remarkable talent of my truly amazing friend, Claudia Skoda.
